Albertson’s Center Illuminated Monument Sign in Boulder City Nevada

Vegas Sign Company was contacted by a California Property Owner and Management company, The Carrigan Company, to bid on a new illuminated monument sign on Nevada Highway at the major cross streets in town. The property has developed over the years and existing signage did not allow new tenants a major monument sign to advertise their services to street traffic.

Boulder City is located 28 miles outside of Las Vegas and has a population of approximately 16,000 residents. Even with its “small town” feel, business in Boulder City is booming and more national businesses are starting to take notice of its potential. Boulder City is also known as the “Gateway to Boulder Dam” (Hoover). Visitors come by the bus loads to visit the town and Dam. We worked with the local Albertson’s to incorporate other businesses which have set up shop in newly built strip mall on property, including Shell, Fantastic Sams, Burger King, Starbucks, Domino’s Pizza, GNC and Capriotti’s . Being that this job was part of a City Redevelopment Plan it required working closely with not only the property owner, but also the Boulder City Building Department.

In order to close this contract, it required many design changes and value engineering to meet the client’s budget as well as the Boulder City’s requirements. Due to all the entities involved with final approval, the process took on an orchestral performance, but eventually all requirements and specifications were finally agreed upon by all parties.

After completion we received high praise and appreciation from all the business owners as well as property owner and the staff at Boulder City Building Department. This project has Vegas Sign Company on everyone’s radar for all future and addition contract signage work.
